The course system of the CEC is divided up in the training year of 2002 into three levels. The dates for these are to be found on the pages of the individual courses.
The training begins with the attendance of Module 1 + 2. If these are successfully completed, then Module 3 can be attended.
After the successful attendance of Module 3, then it is possible to take part in the final exam, which takes two days.
Between both of the module blocks, or rather after them, the practical training can be done. Whoever successfully completes all three courses, passes the final exam and completes their practical training receives the identity card “Canyoning Guide CEC” and may wear the badge of the CEC guide.
Those wishing to take this even further can register for a course to become part of the teaching team. The teaching team is the level prior to becoming an instructor of the CEC. Instructor themselves are offered the position.
Every two years after the completion of the entire training, a refresher course must be attended, which will inform you of new methods and techniques.
The teaching team of the CEC offers three courses in 2002 in which you can become a canyoning guide/aspiring guide. The new modules will provide you with the highest standards at the time for exploration of canyons and safety techniques based on the long years of experience from canyoners from all over the world.
The training year 2001 corresponds to the booking numbers of the previous year. About 80 people visited both courses. About 80% of the participants successfully completed the courses.
